Healing Thoughts to Soothe a Grieving Heart

The author divides "the grieving time" into two segments: "In the beginning" and "In the weeks and months to come." And then in each segment, she offers comforting, consoling reflections pertinent to the specific experiences of each time period or cycle. Some of the simple, beautiful reflections included are headlined as follows: "I just have to get through this hour—one hour at a time"; "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want"; "I want to honor her memory—always"; "The holidays are coming and I am giving myself permission to say I cannot do this right now"; "I do have good things in my life"; "What do I have to lose?" Also included is a lovely section on treating others with kindness at this difficult time.
